Long time no update.
I'll just talk about music.
I bought my one rap album for 2005, with Kanye West's Late Registration getting the nod. I like rap songs about topics others than guns, drugs, and ho's, and Kanye's not afraid to write about his grandmother in the hospital or how cool his life is right now. He can have some, er, curious ideas, but the beats are all great, and it's almost pop-rap, although much more the latter than the former. I like the bear motif on the cover, much better than the standard "rapper making a mean face" that pretty much everyone else uses.
The only bootleg I own is a Green Day show from 1994 (about 3 months after Dookie came out). The sound is a little thin, but it's fun recap of a band just before they hit it big. By the way, the bootleg industry (such as it is) really took a tumble, didn't it? With the internet making it easy to share shows and bands releasing live versions of pretty much every show, there's isn't much need for it.
Hear me out: The Goo Goo Dolls "A Boy Named Goo" still holds up really well. They totally fell off a cliff afterwards.
Another update coming soon.
