Acropolis Now: Haven’t watched much of the Olympics, although I did see the fencing finals on CNBC. The guy from Italy stabbed the dude from Hungary for the win, and then whipped his mask off and ran around like an idiot while the Hungarian froze with an “I’m going to hang myself in my hotel room” look.

The Italian guy’s name was Aldo Montano. He should have said “My name is Aldo Montano. You killed my father. Prepare to die” before the match.

Is there really Olympic Handball? Can you really brag about being a gold medalist Handball player?

Hold your horses, Annie Oakley: Soup 2 Nuts, the production company behind Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist, Home Movies, and Science Court (I may have been the only person in America who watched this show) has a new show on Noggin called “O’Grady.” It’s about 4 high school friends who live in a town with lots of X-Files style weirdness. I watched the episode where they tried to throw a party and everyone was losing their memory at the sound of a gong, which sounds iffy, but it worked surprisingly well. The characters are all likeable (and voiced by S2N veterans), the dialogue is snappy, and the animation has that nice low rent charm. It airs at various times during the weekend. Worth a view.

Is the show in SQUIGGLEVISION~!
I loved the shit out of Katz, and Science Court, wasn't as up on Home Movies as everyone else. As long as it has the guy that voiced Ben Katz, all is good with the world.

You went for the Princes Bride joke instead of the Aldo Montoya joke, you're a better man than I.

Yes, Jon Benjamin (Ben Katz on Dr. Katz, Professor Parsons on Science Court, and Jason and the transcendent Coach McGuirk on Home Movies) voices one of the main characters on O'Grady. The girl who voiced Melissa on Home Movies provides the voice for another main character.

And S2N dumped Squigglevision for budget reasons (i guess) and have been using a somewhat similar Flash based animation system since the second season of Home Movies.
